FAQ

How to connect a proxy in WhatsApp?

Below you’ll find instructions on how to connect a proxy for different devices and operating systems.

If the proxy is private, use your username and password. When generating the proxy in the control panel, allow access via your device’s IP address. This way, you can enter the proxy data in the app.

If the proxy is public, you only need to enter the host and port.

On a phone:

  • iPhone

Step 1. Open WhatsApp proxy settings

  1. Go to the “Settings” tab (bottom right).
  2. Open the “Storage and data” section.
  3. Select “Proxy.”

Step 2. Add a proxy.

  1. Click “Use proxy.”
  2. In the Proxy address field, enter:
    • IP address (for example: 123.123.123.123)
      or
    • Domain name (for example: proxy.example.com)
  3. Separate the port with a colon if required:
    Example: 123.123.123.123:8080

Step 3. Save and test

  1. Click “Save.”
  2. Wait for the connection check.
  3. If the connection is successful, a green indicator will appear.
  • Android

Step 1. Open the proxy settings in WhatsApp

  1. Click the three dots ⋮ in the upper right corner.
  2. Go to “Settings.”
  3. Open “Storage & Data.”
  4. Select “Proxy.”

Step 2. Enter proxy information.

  1. Turn on the “Use proxy” toggle.
  2. In the Proxy address field, enter:
    • IP address (for example: 123.123.123.123)
      or
    • Domain name (for example: proxy.example.com)
  3. If a port is required, separate it with a colon:
    123.123.123.123:8080

Step 3. Save and test

  1. Click “Save.”
  2. Wait for the connection check.
  3. If the connection is successful, a green indicator will appear.
  • MacOS

WhatsApp for MacOS doesn’t have a separate proxy section. The app uses the macOS system network settings. Proxy settings must be configured at the system level.

Step 1: Open macOS Network Preferences

  1. Click in the upper left corner.
  2. Select “System Settings.”
  3. Go to the “Network” section.
  4. Select an active connection.
  5. Click “Details”/“Advanced” (depending on your macOS version).

Step 2. Set up a proxy

  1. Go to the “Proxy” tab.
  2. Check the required type:
    • Web Proxy (HTTP)
    • Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS)
    • if necessary SOCKS Proxy
  3. Enter:
    • Server – IP address or domain.
    • Port – port number (for example 8080, 3128, 443).
  4. If authorization is required:
    • check the box “Proxy server requires a password”;
    • enter your Login and Password.

Click OK, then Apply.

  • Windows

Whatsapp uses Windows system network settings. There is no separate “Proxy” section inside the application. You need to configure a proxy at the Windows level.

Step 1. Open proxy settings in Windows

  1. Click Start.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to the “Network and Internet” section.
  4. Select “Proxy”.

Step 2. Configure a proxy manually

  1. In the “Manually setting up a proxy” block, turn on the switch.
  2. Enter:
    • Address – IP or proxy domain.
    • Port – port number (for example 8080, 3128, 443).
  3. Click “Save.”

If the proxies are private, those with a login and password, then the first time you connect, Windows will automatically request authorization.

Which proxies work with WhatsApp?

In WhatsApp, you can enter public proxy details, including the host and port, on one line. If you have a private proxy, you’ll need to enter the username and password. You’ll need to change the authorization type for your proxy to IP. Only then will you be able to enter the details and use the proxy.

How long does it take to set up?

Setting up the proxies themselves takes 2 to 5 minutes. You can do this immediately after payment. Applying and activating the proxy in the WhatsApp app itself may take slightly longer depending on your device, as you may need to change the authorization type or configure it at the operating system level.

Why did WhatsApp stop working without a proxy?

WhatsApp can be blocked at the ISP or country level. A proxy allows you to connect through an IP address in another country, bypassing these restrictions.

Can one IP address be used for profile pools?

Yes, but to minimize the risk of blocking, it is recommended to use a separate IP for one account.
