FAQ

How to connect a proxy in WhatsApp?

Below you will find instructions on how to connect a proxy for different devices and OS.
If the proxy is private, have the login and password. In the control panel when generating the proxy, allow access via your device’s IP address. In this case, you will be able to enter the proxy data into the application.
If the proxy is public, you will only need to enter the host and port.
On your phone:

  1. iPhone

Step 1. Open the proxy settings in WhatsApp.

  1. Go to the “Settings” tab (bottom right).
  2. Open the “Storage and Data” section.
  3. Select “Proxy.”

Step 2. Add a proxy

  1. Tap “Use proxy.”
  2. In the Proxy Address field, enter:
    • IP address (for example: 123.123.123.123)
      or
    • domain name (for example: proxy.example.com)
    • The port is specified after a colon, if required:
      example — 123.123.123.123:8080

Step 3. Save and check

  1. Tap “Save.”
  2. Wait for the connection to be verified.
  3. If the connection is successful, a green indicator will appear.
  • Android

Step 1. Open the proxy settings in WhatsApp

  1. Tap the three dots ⋮ in the upper right corner.
  2. Go to “Settings.”
  3. Open the “Storage and data” section.
  4. Select “Proxy.”

Step 2. Enter the proxy details

  1. Turn on the “Use proxy” switch.
  2. In the Proxy address field, enter:
    • IP address (for example: 123.123.123.123)
    • domain name (for example: proxy.example.com)
  3. If a port is required, specify it after a colon:
    123.123.123.123:8080

Step 3. Save and verify

  1. Click “Save.”
  2. Wait for the connection to be verified.
  3. If the connection is successful, a green indicator will appear.
  • MacOS

WhatsApp for MacOS does not have a separate proxy section. The application uses the macOS system network settings. Proxies must be configured at the system level.
Step 1. Open macOS network settings

  1. Click in the upper left corner.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Go to the Network section.
  4. Select the active connection.
  5. Click Advanced (depending on your macOS version).

Step 2. Configure the proxy

  1. Go to the Proxy tab.
  2. Select the desired type:
    • Web Proxy (HTTP)
    • Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS)
    • SOCKS Proxy, if necessary
  3.  Enter:
    • Server — IP address or domain.
    • Port — port number (for example, 8080, 3128, 443).
  4. If authorization is required:
    • check the “Proxy server requires a password” box;
      enter your Login and Password.
    • Click OK, then Apply.
  • Windows

The WhatsApp application uses Windows system network settings. There is no separate “Proxy” section within the application. You need to configure the proxy at the Windows level.
Step 1. Open the proxy settings in Windows

  1. Click Start.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to the “Network & Internet” section.
  4. Select “Proxy.”

Step 2. Configure the proxy manually

  1. In the “Manually configure proxy settings” block, enable the switch.
  2. Enter:
    • Address – IP or proxy domain.
    • Port – port number (for example, 8080, 3128, 443).
  3. Click Save.

If the proxies are private, i.e., require a login and password, Windows will automatically request authorization when you first connect.

Which proxies work with WhatsApp?

In WhatsApp, you can enter public proxy data, host, and port in one line. If you have a private proxy, have login and password. You will need to change the authorization type for your proxy to IP. Only then will you be able to enter the data and use the proxy.

How long does it take to set up?

Setting up the proxies themselves takes 2 to 5 minutes. Once you have paid, you can do it right away. Applying and activating the proxy in the WhatsApp application itself may take a little longer depending on the device, as you may need to change the authorization type or configure it at the operating system level.

Why did WhatsApp stop working without a proxy?

WhatsApp may be blocked at the provider or country level. A proxy allows you to connect via the IP address of another country, bypassing these restrictions.

Can one IP address be used for multiple accounts?

Yes, but to minimize the risk of being blocked, it is recommended to use a separate IP address for each account.
